I draw, paint, animate, make music, create video, and sort packages. Guess which one I make money at? Actually, I do have a weekly single panel in some local papers that brings in $30 a week, so I guess I'm better employed than an awful lot of deserving artists out there.
I'd like to be more employed by things that draw off my skills, though it's hard to tell where the market is for some of them. I've got some things in the works that may help give me a push. Or at least something to post...

Hey, good to see people have been finding me while I've been "away". Didn't really go anywhere, but other issues popping up have distracted me from regularly checking in. I'll try to get moving again soon and put some more stuff up.

I know what you mean. I may have too many various skills, but salesman isn't one of them. The ability to post things where anyone can get them helps to make it available, but some kind of advertising is still needed or it's like waiting to win a lottery. I guess the more I post the more chances of things being seen, but it takes a while to build up that much with only a couple hours a day to work on it, as well as an animated short. Connections in the industry help, too. Artist friends who provide links to your stuff on their sites. Those are hard to make just by posting stuff and commenting on other people's. It takes a while to get them to take notice.
At least I've been getting a little better traction here than on some other sites. Just taking the time to upload and post things cuts into my time to create new ones, though, so it's still a lot slower than I'd like. I'll also be making more of a "push" once I get the short I'm working on done, and can get that out there.
